The CG-1 Clock Generator and Frequency Counter is a hand held test instrument which provides six crystal based clock outputs and measures input frequencies from 1Khz through 10Mhz. The clock outputs and the external frequency counter input (when in Counter Mode) frequencies are displayed on the integral 4-digit LED display.

The clock mode provides balanced differential signals (RS-422/RS-485 compatible) through two sets of banana plugs located on the front panel. The output clock frequency is selected through a push button switch located on the front panel which sequences through the available six frequencies (+/-4ppm) and the Counter Mode.

The Counter Mode which is selected via the front panel Select switch, switches the second set of banana plugs to accept an external input clock (RS-422/RS-485 compatible) and display the input frequency on the LED panel. The LED panel is the output display from the integral 1Khz to 10Mhz Frequency Counter which utilizes a 10Mhz crystal based oscillator as the reference time base.

The instrument automatically operates from either 115 or 220 VAC, 50 or 60hz. No switching or other manual intervention is required to select input voltage or frequency. The case is a durable, medium impact injection-molded ABS plastic that defies chipping, scratching, and denting.
