POSITION Descriptions

 

Functional Manager (TS)(Intermediate) – Shift Supervisor

The Functional Manager shall monitor tasks and keep program management abreast of all accomplishments, problems, and other issues. May serve as a leader providing technical direction for help desk, technical support services, or maintenance efforts and may supervise the entire contractor staff at remote sites. May serve as the technical authority in matters concerning technology integration and new support requirements. As a staff specialist, the Functional Manager shall evaluate and resolve technical problems. May also direct analysts, programmers, help desk technicians and other technical specialists. At remote sites, is responsible for all the aforementioned duties as necessary to ensure that the required level of support is provided to IAIP.

Experience: Twelve (12) years (aggregate) of user support, operations and technical support, or maintenance projects in a large-scale multi-platform processing environment. Three (3) years of experience in managing the technical effort associated with Help Desk and NOC operations, operational and technical support, or maintenance, encompassing geographically dispersed mainframe, minicomputer, and personal computer environments; LANs, WANs; MVS/ESA and other environments; operating systems software (including MS-DOS, UNIX, Windows, Windows 95, NT); and common commercial applications such as database applications (including DA IDMS, SAS System 2000, Oracle, and MS Access); word processing (including MS Word and WordPerfect); spreadsheets (including MS Excel and LOTUS 1-2-3); graphics (including MS PowerPoint, Harvard Graphics, Form Maker Pro, and Adobe Illustrator); and miscellaneous utility programs. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Education: The Functional Manager shall have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a field related to the requirements of this contract.

Security: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

Help Desk Analyst (TS)(Senior)

Serves as a lead technical individual for the help desk and act as the interface with the on-site Government Help Desk (DSMC) POC. The responsibilities of the Senior Help Desk Analyst shall also include those of the Help Desk analyst.

Experience: Five (5) years experience in mainframe and distributed LAN/WAN systems environment supporting COTS software or custom applications and ADP/telecommunications equipment. A minimum of three (3) years experience in help desk management or customer support management. Excellent oral communications skills, including the ability to listen well, and question effectively to analyze problems presented over the telephone.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Security: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

Network Engineer (TS) (Principal)

Participates in design, installation, integration, and testing related to technical planning for network projects; establishes and operates a test and integration facility, prepares test plans, and conducts performance test of the operational networks.

Experience: Ten (10) years of progressively more complex experience designing LAN and WAN systems. Six (6) years experience with LAN/WAN interfacing, data communications standards and network integration. Experience shall include client/server architecture, MS Windows NT and Internet protocols. Seven (7) years of experience with networking equipment such as routers and switches. Experience formulating test plans, and conducting network performance testing and analysis. Thorough understanding of LAN and networking standards and protocols, particularly TCP/IP.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering is required. This position may require a manufacturer’s certificate in LAN and/or computer technology.

Security Clearance: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

Network Engineer (TS)(Senior)

Participates in design, installation, integration, and testing related to technical planning for secure video and voice network projects; establishes and operates a test and integration facility, prepares test plans, and conducts performance test of the operational networks.

Experience: Nine (9) years of progressively more complex experience designing secure video and voice systems. Six (6) years experience with VTC interfacing, data communications standards and network integration. Seven (7) years of experience with VTC networking equipment. Experience formulating test plans, operating procedures, and conducting network performance testing and analysis. Thorough understanding of video and voice standards

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering is required. This position may require a manufacturer’s certificate in LAN and/or computer technology.

Security Clearance: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

Project Administrative Planner (TS)

Analyzes program costs, establishes estimate to complete and prepares reports for submission to the government. Performs cost/benefit studies, analyzes hardware/software acquisition costs and analyzes information system life cycle costs. Provides technical assistance in the preparation of budget estimates and funding requirements. Assists in developing metric to show enhanced performance due to newer technology or software.

Experience: Five (5) years experience analyzing costs of hardware, software, and services related to IT systems. Two years (2) experience in working with cost/benefit studies relating to IT systems. Four (4) years monitoring and reporting financial status, estimating cost to complete, and maintaining cost expenditures and projections.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Financial Management, Business Administration is required.

Security: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

Security Engineer (TS)(Principal)

Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Interfaces with user community to understand their security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security. Conducts accurate evaluation of the level of security required. Provides management with status reports.

Experience: Ten (10) years of related experience ensuring customer systems are accurately converted to data security standards. Five (5) years analyzing and enhancing installed data security controls to ensure efficient customer job performance with minimal exposure to internal or external threats. Three (3) years as lead in conducting risk assessment of data processing hardware and software security features. Two (2) years developing data access logs and reporting techniques to ensure prompt detection and notification of violation. Three (3) years developing and executing plans for testing and timely installation of data security software interface programs. May supervise lower level staff.

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Security: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

 

Systems Analyst (TS) (Senior)

Analyzes functional security requirements and determine courses of action for applications of secure processing techniques. Provides supervision, guidance, and direction to Systems Analyst Provides guidance in formulating responses to complex technical tasks, including security vulnerability assessments; recommend optimum approaches/solutions; and oversee completion of complex technical support projects. Monitors assigned tasks to determine their status and recommend/implement actions to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Experience: A minimum of nine (9) years experience working in large-scale, multi-platform data processing environments. A demonstrated background insecurity analysis oversight and supervision of personnel engaged in IT security systems analysis and design. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software security development, maintenance, testing, and documentation in a multi-platform environment consisting of mainframe, MVS, and other environments; micro and mini-computers; associated hardware; and LAN/WANs supporting administrative, mission, and developmental software applications which are geographically dispersed and diverse in nature.  A working knowledge of SEI CMM or ISO documentation and lifecycle policies.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a field related to the requirements of this contract.

Security: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

 

Voice Engineer (TS)(Senior)

Participates in design, installation, integration, and testing related to technical planning for network projects; establishes and operates a test and integration facility, prepares test plans, and conducts performance test of the operational networks.

Experience: Nine (9) years of progressively more complex experience designing voice systems. Six (6) years experience with voice interfacing, data communications standards and network integration. Experience shall include multiple vendor PBX systems, STE implementation and secure voice/voicemail installation and operations. Seven (7) years of experience with networking equipment such as routers and switches. Experience formulating test plans, and conducting network performance testing and analysis. Thorough understanding of LAN and networking standards and protocols, particularly TCP/IP.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering is required. This position may require a manufacturer’s certificate in voice technology.

Security Clearance: A TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
